IAN M. GREEN, litigation partner and trial lawyer, specializes in toxic tort defense, catastrophic personal injury defense, construction defect matters and real estate litigation.  Mr. Green counts among his regular clients the world's largest soft-drink manufacturer and bottler, the two largest pest control operators in the world, a major distributor of residential and agricultural chemicals, various commercial property land owners and a number of general contractors and subcontractors from a variety of different trades.  Over the course of the past two decades, Mr. Green has successfully defended various claims in which the plaintiffs had been seeking hundreds of millions of dollars from the defendants.
 
Mr. Green received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with an emphasis in international relations, from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1986.  Mr. Green received his undergraduate degree with Honors, and was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa.  Mr. Green received his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1989, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta.
 
Mr. Green clerked for the Honorable John P. Vukasin, Jr. in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California prior to joining Hill, Farrer & Burrill LLP.  Mr. Green, a Los Angeles native, has been with Hill, Farrer & Burrill LLP his entire legal career.
