CLAYTON J. HIX graduated cum laude from the University of Southern California in 2001 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2004 from Loyola Law School. While at Loyola, Mr. Hix was taught trail advocacy by Hon. Thomas Goethals, Supervising Judge of the Orange County Superior Court, Central Felony Panel, and served as a judicial extern for Hon. Stephen J. Hillman, Chief Magistrate Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2005 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central and Northern Districts of California. Mr. Hix is actively involved with the American Bar Association, and currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Real Estate Litigation Subcommittee.
While at USC, Mr. Hix was a goaltender on the ice hockey team which won three conference championships, and made two appearances at the national championship tournament. In 2000, USC became the first team in league history to finish the season undefeated. During his tenure, Mr. Hix received two Most Valuable Player awards, and was voted as First Team All-League Goaltender.
