THOMAS F. REED specializes in employee benefits and estate planning. Mr. Reed has broad experience in all areas of employee benefits practice, including pension, profit sharing, employee stock ownership, collectively bargained multi-employer, executive compensation, health and welfare benefit plans; plan drafting, qualification, administration, merger, litigation, audit and termination; handling of plans in business mergers and acquisitions; and taxation of distributions. Mr. Reed also is actively involved representing clients in all areas of estate planning and probate, including wills, living trusts, business succession planning, life insurance planning, charitable giving, estate tax planning, gifting and probate proceedings.
Mr. Reed is a frequent speaker on various benefits and estate planning-related topics to industry groups and business conferences, including the Los Angeles County Bar Association Taxation Section and the Employee Benefits Subsection and UCLA Extension Courses. In addition, he helped author 'Attorney's Guide to California Professional Corporations' published by the California Continuing Education of the Bar in 1987.
Mr. Reed graduated from the University of Southern California with an A.B. in Political Science in 1977 and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Law Center in 1980. He was admitted to the California bar in 1980.
