RICHARD S. ZUNIGA focuses his practice on traditional labor-related matters, such as union organizing, collective bargaining and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) matters, as well as wrongful termination and employment discrimination litigation. He has represented employers in numerous federal and state court litigations, handling discovery, motions, jury trials and labor injunction proceedings.
Mr. Zuniga has represented employers in administrative investigations and hearings before federal and state agencies, including the NLRB, EEOC, DFEH, DOL, DLSE, CAL/FED OSHA, WCAB and CUIAB. With regard to NLRB proceedings, he has extensive experience in all aspects of Board practice, including representation and unfair labor practice proceedings and judicial review of Board Orders. In addition, Mr. Zuniga has represented employers in labor arbitration proceedings and in collective bargaining negotiations.
Mr. Zuniga received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1978 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, in 1981. He served as a Field Attorney for the National Labor Relations Board from 1982 to 1988. Mr. Zuniga is admitted to practice in California before the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern District of California. He is a member of the Labor and Employment Sections of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
