MICHAEL S. TURNER specializes in the litigation and trial of employment cases, representing employers in state and federal courts and in arbitration.  Mr. Turner has defended employers against the spectrum of employment-related claims including wrongful termination, unlawful discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, labor code violations, defamation, unfair business practices, whistleblower claims and wage and hour claims.  Mr. Turner also represents employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Fair Employment and Housing Department, the Department of Labor, the California Labor Commissioner, the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement, Cal OSHA and other administrative agencies.  Mr. Turner has also handled grievance arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements and has obtained injunctive relief in labor disputes.  Mr. Turner also counsels employers on labor and employment matters.

Mr. Turner received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1984 and his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in 1987. At Loyola, he was an editor of the Loyola Law Review and received the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy.  Mr. Turner served as a judicial extern to the Honorable William D. Keller, District Judge for the United States District Court, Central District of California. Mr. Turner was admitted to the California bar in 1987.

Mr. Turner is a native of Southern California.  His professional affiliations include membership in the litigation sections of the American Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
