MICHAEL K. COLLINS has a broad based business litigation practice with an emphasis on matters involving real estate, construction, insurance coverage, bad faith, golf course design and operation, and defense of legal malpractice matters. Mr. Collins also specializes in civil appellate matters and has briefed and argued more than one hundred appeals and extraordinary writs in the California Supreme Court and the federal and state courts of appeals, including nineteen published opinions.
Mr. Collins graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1965 and pursued a year of post-graduate study in chemistry. He received his law degree in 1969 from the School of Law at Washington University in St. Louis where was a member of Order of the Coif and Editor-in-Chief of the Washington University Law Quarterly. Mr. Collins was admitted to the California Bar in 1970 and is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in California.
