JULIA L. BIRKEL practices in the areas of general business and probate litigation in state and federal courts.

Ms. Birkel graduated from Stanford University in 1979, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies. She also completed the Mass Media Institute, Broadcast News program at Stanford in 1990. She received her Juris Doctor degree in 1984 from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Law. Ms. Birkel was admitted to the California bar in 1984, and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central, Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of California. Her professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association, in which she is also a member of the Trusts & Estates section.
