SEAN McLOUGHLIN litigates employment cases for management. He has defended employers against claims of unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, defamation, Labor Code violations, and unfair business practices. His experience spans all stages of employment suits, from conducting pre-litigation factual investigations to trial and appellate work. Mr. McLoughlin practices in both state and federal courts, frequently litigating union workforce issues. He also represents management in arbitration and before administrative agencies. Mr. McLoughlin has counseled clients on copyright, trade secrets, OSHA compliance, employment policies and agreements, employment separation agreements, and non-competition and non-disclosure agreements. Understanding the full spectrum of competitive challenges facing employers, Mr. McLoughlin works closely with clients to develop strategies and solutions for success.
Mr. McLoughlin graduated in 1994 from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was a member of both the trial team and the Law Review. Before attending law school, Mr. McLoughlin attended Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, from which he received his B.A. and graduated cum laude in 1991.
