CLAYTON J. HIX graduated from the University of Southern California in 2001 with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2004 from Loyola Law School. Mr. Hix served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Stephen J. Hillman of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2005 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
While at USC, Mr. Hix was a goaltender on the ice hockey team which won three Pac-8 championships, and made two appearances at the national championship tournament. In 2000, USC became the first team in league history to finish the season undefeated. During his tenure, Mr. Hix received two Most Valuable Player awards, and was voted as First Team All League Goaltender. He continues to play competitive hockey in local leagues.
